Vera Bondarenko
Biography
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Vera Bondarenko is a contemporary painter whose work merges scale and softness to envision a future both imagined and deeply human. Educated at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv, she cultivated a practice that balances technical mastery with conceptual exploration.
Bondarenko is known for her large-scale, dream-infused paintings, where sweeping forms and luminous colors suggest cities yet to be built, landscapes still unfolding, and worlds suspended between hope and memory. Though monumental in size, her works carry a remarkable delicacy, often suffused with light tones and a gentle, atmospheric stillness that transforms the canvas into a space of contemplation.
Her art draws inspiration from questions of time, progress, and imagination, exploring how the future might feel rather than how it may look. Exhibited in Kyiv, Warsaw, and Vienna, Bondarenko’s paintings resonate with collectors and institutions seeking works that are at once visionary and intimate.
Now based in Warsaw, she continues to expand her practice, creating immersive pieces that invite viewers to step into her vision of tomorrow—where vastness and fragility exist in harmony.
